Arrive Leh — Rest & Acclimatisation
Airport pickup · Hotel check-in · Complete rest day
Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. Our driver meets you at the arrival gate and transfers you to your hotel. Today is a mandatory rest day for acclimatisation — Leh sits at 3,500m and your body needs time to adjust to the altitude. No sightseeing, no strenuous activity. Drink plenty of water, eat light, and rest. In the evening, take a gentle stroll through Leh market to pick up essentials and get a feel of the town.

Leh Local Sightseeing
Leh Palace · Shanti Stupa · Magnetic Hill · Sangam
A full day exploring the gems of Leh. Start with Leh Palace, a 17th-century nine-storey royal residence with sweeping views of the Indus Valley. Move to the gleaming white Shanti Stupa perched on a hill, then browse Leh Market for local handicrafts and dried apricots. After lunch, visit the Hall of Fame museum — a moving tribute to soldiers who served in these mountains. Continue to Magnetic Hill, where your car appears to roll uphill against gravity, and then to the Sangam point where the turquoise Zanskar River meets the muddy Indus in a spectacular natural meeting.

Leh → Nubra Valley via Khardung La
World's highest motorable pass · Camel safari · Overnight Nubra
Today's drive is one of the most thrilling in the world. Depart early morning and ascend Khardung La Pass at 5,359m — the world's highest motorable road. Stop at the pass for photographs, a cup of hot tea from the army canteen, and that incredible feeling of standing above the clouds. Descend into the surreal Nubra Valley, a cold desert flanked by the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges. Visit the towering Diskit Monastery and the massive 32-metre Maitreya Buddha statue. The highlight of the evening: a camel safari on the Hunder sand dunes on double-humped Bactrian camels — a scene that seems impossible in the Himalayas. Overnight in Nubra Valley.

Nubra → Leh
Morning at leisure · Return via Khardung La · Leh shopping
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Nubra Valley — a gentle walk along the Shyok River, more time with the Bactrian camels, or simply sit and absorb the extraordinary landscape of snow peaks and sand dunes. After breakfast, begin the return drive over Khardung La. The second crossing gives you a very different perspective — you'll appreciate just how high you climbed. Return to Leh in the afternoon, rest, and explore the local market at your own pace. The Leh market is excellent for pashmina shawls, Ladakhi jewellery, thangka paintings, and dried local apricots.

Leh → Pangong Lake
Chang La Pass · Pangong Tso · Lakeside sunset · Overnight camp
Early departure for the most iconic destination in Ladakh — Pangong Tso. The five-hour drive takes you via Chang La Pass at 5,360m, the third highest motorable road in the world. As you cross the final ridge and the lake comes into view, the moment is genuinely breathtaking — 134 kilometres of water shifting from turquoise to cerulean to deep blue, framed by barren rust-coloured mountains. Arrive Pangong in the afternoon, check into your lakeside camp, and settle in for a sunset that will become a permanent family memory. Overnight at a Pangong lakeside tent camp.

Pangong → Leh
Sunrise at lake · Thiksey Monastery · Return Leh
Wake before sunrise and walk to the lake's edge. The morning light on Pangong is unlike anything you will see anywhere else — the water turns a vivid electric blue as the sun crests the eastern mountains. After breakfast, begin the drive back to Leh. Stop en route at Thiksey Monastery, a stunning 12th-century gompa perched on a hilltop that resembles the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Explore the monastery's prayer halls, butter lamp chambers, and the enormous Maitreya Buddha statue. Return to Leh in the afternoon; the evening is free for final shopping, packing, and a celebratory family dinner.

Early airport drop · End of tour
Early morning airport drop for your flight home. Leh flights typically depart early due to high-altitude weather conditions, so be prepared for a 4–5 AM wake-up call.
