6 Days Georgia — Tbilisi, Kazbegi & Batumi

Land in Tbilisi and meet your tour manager at arrivals. After hotel check-in, dive straight into one of the most enchanting old towns in the Caucasus — winding alleys of carved wooden balconies, Persian-era bath houses, and the smell of churchkhela from every corner. Ride the cable car up to Narikala Fortress for sweeping views of the city below. Cap the evening with a Rustaveli Avenue dinner paired with a Georgian wine tasting — this is the birthplace of wine, after all.

A morning excursion to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the hilltop Jvari Monastery — perched dramatically where two rivers converge — then descend to the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the most sacred church in Georgia. Return to Tbilisi in the afternoon to experience the legendary sulfur baths of Abanotubani, where hot mineral springs have soothed travellers for over a thousand years.

The four-hour drive north along the Georgian Military Highway is an adventure in itself — the Caucasus mountains growing more dramatic with every kilometre. Stop at the Gudauri ski resort viewpoint for panoramic mountain views, then continue to Stepantsminda town in the shadow of Mount Kazbek. The afternoon is dedicated to the hike up to Gergeti Trinity Church — a 14th-century stone church sitting at 2,170 metres with the glacier-capped peak of Kazbek as its backdrop. One of the most photographed scenes in the Caucasus.

A full day in the high Caucasus. Explore the Truso Valley gorge — ancient travertine formations, steaming mineral springs, and meadows at the foot of the glaciers. Take in sweeping glacier views of Kazbek and the surrounding peaks before descending through the dramatic Dariali Gorge, carved by the Terek River over millennia. Overnight in a mountain guesthouse where the silence and stars are equally spectacular.

A long but rewarding journey (approximately 6 hours by road, or a short domestic flight option) from the high mountains to the Black Sea coast. Arrive in Batumi, Georgia's subtropical resort city, and feel the shift from crisp mountain air to warm sea breezes. Stroll the famous Batumi Boulevard along the seafront, marvel at the futuristic Alphabet Tower, and end the day with a fresh seafood dinner by the water — a fitting contrast to the mountain grandeur of the past two days.

A final morning on the Black Sea beach before visiting the magnificent Batumi Botanical Garden — an extraordinary collection of subtropical plants spread across clifftop terraces overlooking the sea. In the afternoon your tour manager organises the transfer to Tbilisi airport for your international flight home, carrying memories of mountains, monasteries, wine, and a country that never quite lets go.
